LUCY THOMPSON IS A MULTI AWARD WINNING MEDICAL & MASTECTOMY TATTOO ARTIST
In 2017, Lucy became the UKs first A.R.T 3D Nipple Tattoo certified tattoo artist. Offering permanent, hyper-realistic 3D nipple tattoos after mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, that give the illusion of a nipple protrusion on a flat surface, she has since been on a mission to help empower breast cancer survivors throughout her career in medical tattooing.
In order to help as many people as possible, she founded The Nipple Innovation Project charity in 2018, which works by offering a directory of accredited artists throughout the UK and also fundraises to offer post mastectomy tattoos for free, for those who need this specialist service. She has become an ambassador for the industry, speaking at Women’s Institutes, on Local & National News and the European Oncology Convention to educate people about this life-changing service.
She has now set up her Areola Training Academy using her skills and experience as a tattoo artist of ten years to set the definitive standard for areola tattooing. The goal is grow the number of expertly trained artists able to offer this service to help more breast cancer survivors to reclaim their bodies and confidence post-mastectomy.
