World Congress on Tattoo and Pigment Research (WCTP), Rome
Lucy has been invited to speak at the World Congress on Tattoo and Pigment Research (WCTP) in Rome this May.
The WCTP is a hybrid congress organized by the European Society of Tattoo and Pigment Research (ESTP), which takes place every two years. It is aimed at an interdisciplinary audience.
In addition to researchers and medical professionals, tattoo artists, PMU artists, industry representatives, international and national authorities and many who have a special interest in tattoos attend the congress. The conference is a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of tattoo and pigment research. All participants are offered the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and progress in this field and to expand their international network.

The Webinar is a chance to learn about the basics of 3D Nipple tattooing. I will teach you how to identify different types of scar tissue, safe needle selections, common mastectomy surgeries & why I started a charity to help offer these tattoos for free to the breast cancer community.
I’ll also touch on the psychological importance of this work.
At the end of the talk I will give a live tattoo demo of creating a nipple tattoo on practise skins using safe traditional tattoo techniques.

My mission is to use my vast experience as a traditional & medical tattoo expert & TEDx speaker to educate tattoo artists on how to safely & confidently work with different types of scar tissue so people living with physical traumas of their past can have them covered with beautiful artwork!
I still hear of people TO THIS DAY being turned away when enquiring at studios about a scar cover up - this can cause feelings of shame when people already feel self conscious of their scars.
As a tattoo community, I believe we can do better!
