Why areola tattooing?
This passion for Areola Tattooing was ignited by a personal experience. In 2016, when I was first approached about doing a nipple tattoo, it was a new concept for me. As I explored this service further, I spoke to my aunt, a brave woman who had undergone a mastectomy due to breast cancer.
Her story was heart breaking. The hospital nipple tattoo she received was poorly done. It bled heavily, scabbed over, and eventually fell away, leaving her feeling unable to look at her reconstructed breast for ten years.
I could not comprehend why this had happened. This conversation sparked a fire within me. I delved deeper into the world of Areola Tattooing, determined to find a better solution and now, to share that solution with others so no one has to go through the same as my auntie.

When Lucy's auntie shared that following breast cancer surgery she had been left traumatised by attempts to tattoo new nipples onto her reconstructed breasts, Lucy was devastated.
A tattoo artist herself, Lucy became the UKs first tattoo artist to offer specialist paramedical 3D nipple tattoos for people who have had breast reconstruction following cancer treatment. She uses her specialist skills as an artist, and compassion as a relative and friend to support her clients in their full recovery from cancer.
